Recent legislation attempting to legitimize the use of internment camps to detain U.S. citizens in the event of an uprising or civil unrest has many people asking what nation they live in. Celebrations for Pickering’s Bicentennial Canada Day events this year will include the Music By the Bay Festival – the only public music festival that showcases young musicians. Now in its fourth year of operation, the Music By the Bay Festival will again take place in the heart of Durham Region at Millennium Square in Pickering, Ontario. The Music ByThe Bay Festival is the only festival in Canada spotlighting new and emerging musicians under the age of 21. This year’s showcase will feature ten top calibre musical acts, currently being selected from over 150 submissions by musicians across Ontario. This annual 1-day Canada Day family event will feature live music from noon until dusk. Proceeds from the Festival continue to be collected for use in the beautification of the Frenchman’s Bay area, a popular Durham Region family picnic area, beach, park and playground. Admission is free and everyone is also welcome to picnic or visit one of the many local establishments while enjoying the music.

I started with Healthy Rhino in June 2010, doing personal training and nutrition with Ryan. In the fall I started attending the UnBootCamp classes to get more time in at the studio. So far I am down 83 lbs and feel amazing! I am physically able to do so much more than I could before and it is the best feeling. I have gone further than I ever thought I would be able to and now that I know what I am capable of I am going to keep going. The people that I have worked with at Healthy Rhino are all amazing and supportive; they become your friends and a part of your family. They teach you that you can live your life and be healthy at the same time; it is a realistic lifestyle change. I never thought I would enjoy working out but the program at Healthy Rhino is not repetitive or dull…they keep it fun and exciting. Even my son (at age two) started doing parts of the workouts with me at home and occasionally at the studio; he thinks it is pretty cool too. This is something anyone at any age or fitness level can do.
