The City of Hallandale Beach is terminating tenancies of mobile home owners in order to expand a local underused sports park. Up to 80 or more face the loss of their homes which represent the most affordable of affordable housing options. Affected are elderly, disabled and workforce residents who have few, if any, alternative housing options. While the City has a relocation program, it is not working.
